Right on schedule, the SIPLACE team has formally completed the carve-out process on January 1, 2009. Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems is now a wholly owned subsidiary that operates within Siemens as a mid-sized company with a global scope. This change has many advantages for our customers and partners. The overarching objective, says CEO Günter Lauber, is to establish a fast and flexible organization that “breathes” with the market’s ups and downs and that aggressively takes advantage of its strengths as the global innovation and technology leader. To achieve this, it will be important to maintaining close relationships with customers and to further streamline the company’s business processes.
