SIPLACE EDM:
Consistent production data

The SIPLACE Engineering Data Manager (EDM) eliminates one of the most frequent causes of production errors: inconsistent and faulty manufacturing data.

Wherever local databases are used, you run the danger that manufacturing data gets changed on the line without being noticed or documented. As a result, the line data sets diverge and products are produced on the basis of faulty or obsolete programs.

SIPLACE EDM brings structure, order and transparency to your manufacturing data. Programs written with SIPLACE Pro are stored and managed on a central server, from which they are downloaded to the local line computers shortly before the production run commences.

SIPLACE EDM is the best way to make sure that your data is consistent and that you always operate with the latest program version.

But there’s more: Wherever local data changes are necessary or requested at the lines, they can be executed on the basis of configurable authorizations. Each data change is recorded and documented. After being properly approved, SIPLACE EDM can even write it back to the placement program as a new version or variant and make it available to other lines.

Benefits at a glance:

  • Speedy and consistent data transfers

  • Secure and easy-to-use data management

  • Combines the benefits of central and local data management:
central control with the ability to make local changes

  • Reliable documentation of changes on the line for more process security

  • Flexibility for short-term changes

  • Transfer of local changes to the central data system
