02.02.2012SIPLACE Line Monitor - Solid information makes for efficient production The new SIPLACE Line Monitor presents the status of an individual SMT placement machine in a clear and easy-to-grasp manner with ‘traffic light’ indicators, colorful graphics and lists – all on a single screen. With the SIPLACE Line Monitor, the operating staff can keep everything under control even in high-mix production environments and prevent material-related production stops – still one of the most effective efficiency killers in modern electronics production. Splicing requirements, how many units of a product have already been produced, which MSD reels are due to be returned to the cabinet – the SIPLACE Line Monitor tells you all this and a whole lot more at a single glance. All this information makes it easy for the operating and warehouse staff to properly prioritize their activities. more 12.14.2011SIPLACE market analysts see their market forecasts confirmed
The overall SMT market is stable According to the latest SIPLACE market analyses, for which specialists at ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG regularly collect data from many external sources, the global demand for SMT placement equipment continued to be stable on a high level this fall. In China, the volume of new order bookings experienced a steady decline over the last four months, albeit on a level that continues to be high overall. Fortunately, the good business situation in other regions of the global market compensated for the restraint among Chinese electronics producers. Since the European markets were stable and the North and South American regions experienced strong growth, the SIPLACE experts computed a growth rate of over 20 percent for the global SMT market in October. more 12.09.2011Zollner expands in U.S. with SIPLACE placement solutions Zollner Elektronik AG, which is headquartered in Zandt, Germany, is a leading electronics producer with plants in China, Germany, Hungary, Romania and Tunisia. Starting this month, Zollner also produces in the United States in order to satisfy the demand for high-quality electronics products in North and South America more quickly and in even closer cooperation with its customers. Beginning with phase one of Zollner’s expansion, the four SIPLACE SX machines, which are equipped with SIPLACE MultiStar placement heads, are ideal for meeting the needs of a company like Zollner, a full-service provider who specializes in new product introductions and the volume production of PCBs, modules and complete systems in small to medium-sized production runs. more 12.02.2011
New: SIPLACE Performance Monitoring
Actual-vs.-target comparisons provide more transparency in electronics production
ASM Assembly Systems presents another software innovation with SIPLACE Performance Monitoring. SIPLACE Performance Monitoring determines the line status and important key performance indicators (KPIs) in real time. They are displayed as absolute values as well as in the form of easy-to-read actual-vs.-target charts with easily customizable reference values. SIPLACE Performance Monitoring provides not only detailed information for technicians and process engineers, but keeps the production staff up-to-date via large monitors indicating order progress, target achievement and potential improvements in areas such as throughput times, setup times, placement rates, discard rates and cycle times. more 11.21.2011SIPLACE team considers Productronica 2011 a great success
Customer challenges have been mastered For the SIPLACE team, the recently concluded Productronica was a great success. After its acquisition by the ASM Group in early 2011, the equipment maker presented its products and solutions for the first time under its new banner as ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG at the world’s leading trade show for the electronics manufacturing industry. In the "SIPLACE Challenge Arena", the team presented solutions for challenges from customers and show visitors "live". At the center of attention were SIPLACE’s latest placement equipment platforms as well as LED brightness class management with SIPLACE LED Pairing, the mobile and highly flexible SIPLACE Glue Feeder, SIPLACE Smart Pin Support, and flexible setup concepts. Many Productronica visitors also accepted SIPLACE’s invitation to learn more about current and future SIPLACE solutions at a special show hosted at the company’s Munich headquarters complex. more 11.15.2011SIPLACE at the Productronica 2011
"Wanna bet..." in electronics production The SIPLACE team wants to arouse the interest of electronics manufacturers from all over the world with an exciting presentation concept at this year’s Productronica trade show. In the company’s SIPLACE Challenge Cup Arena (Hall 3, Booth 377), the focus is on challenges in the fields of "New Product Introduction", "Setup Changeover" and "Production Run". For its show program, the SIPLACE team asked customers about their concrete challenges before the show and answers these live on the exhibition floor. It also accepts bets from the audience. The company uses this opportunity to present its latest innovations such as SIPLACE LED Pairing, SIPLACE Smart Pin Support and SIPLACE Glue Feeder along with new setup concepts such as SIPLACE Random Setup and Constant Component Tables. more 11.09.2011S-TEC electronics AG increases its production capacity five-fold with its new SIPLACE SX line With its new SIPLACE SX line, Switzerland-based company S-TEC electronics AG is upgrading its SMT production capacity from 10,000 to 50,000 units per product and year. The producer of industrial electronics, whose name has stood for innovative developments in the areas of hardware and software engineering since 1989, develops and manufactures controllers and panels for industrial applications. To increase its production capacity, the company decided to invest in a SIPLACE line because of its flexibility, constant throughput capacity and placement quality. Furthermore there is an additional gain for the Spanish electronics manufacturer in terms of flexibility and freedom in the manufacturing process: The new SIPLACE line has a feeder capacity of 120 slots per machine and enables Arteixo Telecom to place a wide range of components from 0,4mm x 0,2mm up to 200mm x 100mm. more 10.12.2011SIPLACE invites Productronica visitors to in-house event in its Munich SIPLACE factory:
Even closer to the source
During this year’s Productronica trade show (November 15-18, Munich International Trade Fair Centre), ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG (formerly Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems) will once again extend an invitation to visit its large SIPLACE in-house event at its Munich headquarters. Away from the Productronica’s hustle and bustle, visitors can learn about SIPLACE’s innovations and the latest trends in electronics manufacturing by attending workshops, taking tours and watching live demonstrations. The event also provides an excellent opportunity for exchanging best practices with fellow producers. SIPLACE will even set up lines to demonstrate special solutions for the automobile industry, for flexible high-volume production environments and for highly cost-sensitive producers. With its SIPLACE CA, the company will present process and cost advantages by placing dies and flip-chips directly from the wafer. Current and potential customers will also have access to SIPLACE development engineers in workshops on topics like LED or nano placement. To make attending the SIPLACE’s in-house show easy, shuttle buses will take visitors from the Productronica site to SIPLACE headquarters and back again during the first three Productronica days (Nov. 15-17). Guests can learn more about the show and register at www.siplace.com. more 10.11.2011Productronica 2011: SIPLACE COO Günter Schindler announces innovations
